TweetDeck is one of the most convenient ways to see several Twitter timelines at once, but it doesn’t always work a dream. One pesky TweetDeck bug will prevent videos from playing. You can click them, but in the full-screen mode, they’ll never start. It’s no doubt an annoyance, so we’re here to show you how to fix your TweetDeck videos not playing.
TweetDeck videos not playing fix
There’s one surefire way to play videos that aren’t working on the TweetDeck site. That’s by opening the tweet on the main Twitter website, where the video will then play.
Luckily, it’s very easy to do this. All you need to do is click to expand a video tweet on TweetDeck, then click View Original below it. That will open the post up on the Twitter site, where the video should play normally. Equally, this error doesn’t pop up too frequently, meaning most of the time you’ll be able to view your videos. However, if needs be, you’ll need to head over to Twitter.
Of course, it’s something of an inconvenience, as it means you cannot watch the video within TweetDeck. Since the site is commonly used to unpack several feeds at once, clicking between it and the Twitter website is no doubt annoying. However, if you’re encountering this bug it’s the only way to work around it.
If you’d rather wait it out, then it might be worth keeping an eye on official TweetDeck channels to see if they’re aware of the error. You can check out their official Twitter page, for any updates on the videos not playing error. Aside from that, though, your only choice will be to head over to the main Twitter site.
