MOB Games’ Poppy Playtime is fast becoming an indie horror hit. Players are currently experiencing the terror of Poppy Playtime: Chapter 1, though, naturally, many are wondering what comes next. So, is there a Poppy Playtime: Chapter 2 release date yet? Here’s the latest on the game’s DLC roadmap and when users will be able to download and play all-new episodes.
When is Poppy Playtime: Chapter 2 coming out?
The Poppy Playtime: Chapter 2 release date could be March 2022. There were five months between the reveal of Poppy Playtime and the eventual launch of Chapter 1; based on that precedent, Poppy Playtime: Chapter 2 may launch early next year.
It’s only possible to speculate right now due to the lack and an official Poppy Playtime: Chapter 2 launch window. Another possibility would be releasing the second chapter in October 2022, one year after the original installment. This could potentially maximize sales, as the game would be able to capitalize on the Halloween horror craze all over again.
While there’s no confirmation on when exactly Poppy Playtime 2 will arrive, developer MOB Games has revealed how the next entry in the series will work. Players will be able to buy the second chapter as downloadable content for Poppy Playtime: Chapter 1, slotting neatly in as an optional add-on. Poppy Playtime: Chapter 2 will cost $5, just like the original and all future chapters to come.
