Chorus

Is Chorus coming to Nintendo Switch?

If you’re a fan of intergalactic spaceship battles, then Chorus might be for you. The latest game from Deep Silver, it’ll remind players of classics like Everspace, or even Star Wars titles like Rogue Squadron. However, this is a next-gen spin on the genre. There’s astounding graphics, deeps worlds to battle within, and a gripping sci-fi story to boot. It’s due for release later this year – but is Chorus coming to Nintendo Switch?

Chorus Nintendo Switch release date

Chorus

It’s possible that a Chorus Switch version will be announced in the future. At the time of writing, however, there is no Chorus Nintendo Switch release date. Deep Silver has confirmed the game for all other major consoles and PC, but not for Switch.

This is sure to be a blow to owners of Nintendo’s leading hardware. Yet another triple-A game is snubbing the console upon release. Especially considering the game is coming to PS4 and Xbox One, consoles that have previously shared releases with the Switch, it’s certainly a disappointment.

However, it seems like the graphical fidelity, and size of Chorus’ world, might be too much for the Switch to handle. A new trailer shows off the game in action. Even the most fleeting glance will reveal just how expansive Chorus is. From near-instant load times between worlds to graphically intense battles against enemies, it might surpass the limits of Nintendo’s machine.

It’s particularly unfortunate, as Chorus seeks to bring the single-ship combat genre into the next generation. The story mode places you as Nara, a former leader of the ominous Circle empire who now fights for the rebellion. In her signature ship the Forsaken, she’s tasked with bringing down the operation she helped grow, through space battles brimming with lasers, explosions, and combos. That’s before mentioning the vast array of planets to explore, which shake up gameplay with vast expanses, meteor showers, and tight interiors to navigate.

Nonetheless, it’s sad news for Switch owners – this might be one you’ll have to miss.

In other news, the latest season of Sea of Thieves is upon us. We’re also wondering whether Metroid Prime 4 will appear at today’s Nintendo Direct.
