Diablo 2 Resurrected Release Unlock Times

What time does Diablo 2: Resurrected unlock?

Diablo 2: Resurrected is available for pre-load now, but fans are wondering when it’ll unlock for play. Given that every digital storefront has a different way of handling game launches, it’s hard to keep track of whether a title will be available at the stroke of midnight or at some random time during the day. Fortunately, we know what the Diablo 2: Resurrected release times are, so read on below to find out.

When can I play Diablo 2: Resurrected?

Diablo 2 Resurrected Release Times

Diablo 2: Resurrected will unlock on PC at 8 AM PT/11 AM ET and become available for play. The release times for console should correspond with typical store updates.

Here are the release times across the world:

  • Pacific Time: 8 AM PDT
  • Eastern Time: 11 AM EDT
  • British Summer Time: 4 PM BST
  • Central European Summer Time: 5 PM CEST
  • Singapore Time: 11 PM SGT
  • Australian Eastern Standard Time: 1 AM (Sept. 24) AEST

Fans of the original game will be glad to know that Diablo 2: Resurrected isn’t a remake or a reboot. Instead, it’s a modernization of one of Blizzard’s most beloved titles. Basically, it’s the same as the original running in a new engine that allows things like 3D graphics, better physics, improved animations, dynamic lighting, and more. Also new is the Dolby 7.1 Surround sound, which opens the aural landscape of the game significantly.

Quality of life updates have also been made with Diablo 2: Resurrected. There’s a shared item stash, so there’s no more need to awkwardly launch the game twice and trade between two characters in a LAN session (or use a separate computer). There are also things like auto-looting gold that can be turned on and off and streamlined matchmaking and player invites.

The only part of the game that’s been remade is the cutscenes. However, they’re shot-by-shot remakes, so nothing has been added or removed. That means every bit of the epic story is intact and ready to be enjoyed by old and new fans alike.
