Loads of players are getting their first taste of Voidtrain, the interdimensional co-op survival game from the team at Nearga. The hype train has been slowly gaining steam following its early access launch on the Epic Games Store last month. But will this adventure make its way to consoles? Is Voidtrain coming to Xbox or PlayStation?
Will Voidtrain release for Xbox One and PlayStation 4?
The developers at Nearga plan to release Voidtrain on consoles sometime in the future. However, as things stand right now, there are no specific plans for Xbox One or PS4 versions. We only know that the developers would like to release Voidtrain on platforms beyond just PC.
This information comes from the Voidtrain subreddit, of all places. There, one of the game’s developers stated that consoles version are planned, but couldn’t provide specific details otherwise. Interestingly, this seems to be the most we’ve heard about the game’s console plans so far.
It’s a bit odd, since many game fans got their first glimpse of Voidtrain through the ID@Xbox presentation back in March. As such, they may have also assumed that the game was coming to Xbox just by association. However, none of the promotional material for the game released so far has indicated any sort of console release.
Unfortunately, there are no firm plans to bring Voidtrain to Xbox or PS4. The developers want to release the game on consoles in the future, but there’s no telling which ones they mean. Xbox One and PS4 owners could be left in the dust if Nearga plans to release the game only for PS5 or the Series X|S.
