Call of Duty: Vanguard is all the buzz in the gaming community, and fans are taking a keen look at the new mode called Champion Hill. Details are slim, but this new mode looks to be a fresh addition to the Call of Duty multiplayer ruleset. Still, what’s the difference? What exactly is Champion Hill mode?
What is Champion Hill mode in Call of Duty: Vanguard?
Champion Hill mode is a new addition to Call of Duty: Vanguard. According to leaked details, Champion Hill gameplay combines 3v3 Gunfight with more traditional battle royale elements, where eight teams fight to be the last group standing.
There’s just one caveat here, and it’s an obvious one. Since this information is based on a leak, none of it has been confirmed by the developers. However, Video Game Chronicle seems to have a detailed description of the mode alongside information about the alpha uploaded to the PlayStation Network, and several other outlets including Modern Warzone have corroborated the details.

Namely, new information states that the new mode is a fight to the death among eight different teams of three. What we don’t know is whether or not Champion Hill will serve to replace Gunfight entirely, or be another addition to the Call of Duty roster.
More details about the alpha also show that it’s around a 20GB download. As for the date when the alpha goes underway, it’s anyone’s guess. Luckily, the next Vanguard beta should be very soon. Beta availability is among the first listed bonuses for the Standard and Ultimate editions of the game.
There is one confirmed detail: Champion Hill is a new mode, and an alpha test is coming soon. Leaked details suggest its a 3v3 battle royale spinoff, and the breadth of those leaks suggest the rumors are true. Either way, with the full release of Call of Duty: Vanguard not too far away, we won’t have to wait too long to try it out for ourselves.
