Does The Suicide Squad Sebastian die?
Sebastian the rat does not die in The Suicide Squad and survives until the end credits, despite being put in multiple dangerous scenarios. He seems to be a lot more intelligent than most rats, and it’s unclear how much of his intelligence is his own or is simply influence by his owner Ratcatcher 2/Cleo Cazo.
Sebastian can always be distinguished from the many other rats in the movie by either being on Ratcatcher 2’s shoulder or by his little red jacket, which he wears for the entire time on Corto Maltese. He finally helps Bloodsport (Idris Elba) get over his crippling phobia of rats (sort of) by the end of the movie after trying to make friends with him the entire time, and Sebastian is also instrumental in the defeat of Starro the Conqueror during the movie’s climactic battle. He survives all of these and will hopefully be back for the inevitable sequel.
