Is it possible to get the Fortnite Cammy and Guile skins early for free? The latest Fortnite Street Fighter crossover is coming this week, with both Cammy and Guile joining Epic’s battle royale alongside previous Street Fighter characters such as Ryu and Chun-Li. Players can unlock Guile and Cammy in Fortnite in the Item Store from Saturday, August 7, but is it possible to get the Street Fighter skins early and for free?
How to unlock Fortnite Cammy early for free
To unlock Cammy for free in Fortnite, players have to take part in the Cammy Cup on August 5, where they can win both the Cammy outfit and Borealis Backer back bling for nothing. This will be a Duos tournament, so players will need a friend, and each team has to earn as many points they can during the three hours the Cammy Cup is live.
The top-performing teams in each region will earn Cammy and her back bling, and anyone who earns at least 8 points will get the Round Two loading screen. Players earn at least one point per match, so even if they are eliminated immediately they just need eight matches to get the loading screen.
Can Fortnite Guile be unlocked early?
To get Guile in Fortnite, players will simply have to wait until August 7 at 5 PM PST/8 PM EST and purchase his bundle from the Item Shop — presumably for around 1600 V-Bucks, or 2200 V-Bucks for both him and Cammy if players failed to acquire her in the Cammy Cup.
Sadly the Cammy Cup is exclusively for the Cammy skin, so there is no way to earn the Guile skin early or for free in Fortnite.
Also in Fortnite this week, there’s a tie-in with The Suicide Squad movie as Idris Elba’s Bloodsport has been added to the game, and Ariana Grande is performing in the game later this week.
