Does Harley Quinn die in The Suicide Squad?
Despite some narrow escapes, Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie) does not die in The Suicide Squad and lives until the finale, where she escapes from Amanda Waller’s control and possibly goes off to join either her own proper Harley Quinn movie or presumably Suicide Squad 3.
It’s probably not a surprise that Harley Quinn survives a second Suicide Squad movie, given that she’s the most popular character — with her own successful animated show on HBO Max and her starring role in Birds of Prey. Nevertheless, Harley comes close to dying multiple times. Amanda Waller deliberately tries to kill her and Rick Flag by putting them in the doomed first mission, and Harley is captured and tortured in the entire center section of the movie — only to escape and take out most of the guards entirely by herself. She helps take down the rampaging Starro the Conqueror, and becomes one of the few Suicide Squad members to survive until the end of the movie.
