TOTEM LOCATIONS
 

PROLOGUE

TOTEM TYPE	CHARACTER	LOCATION
Death	Beth	While looking for Hannah there will be a totem on the ground near a fence post on the left-hand side of a clearing. It is right before you find Hannah.

CHAPTER 1

TOTEM TYPE	CHARACTER	LOCATION
Guidance	Sam	On your way to the tram station there will be a totem next to the sign explaining the butterfly types.

CHAPTER 2

TOTEM TYPE	CHARACTER	LOCATION
Guidance	Chris	Before following Josh to the back of the cabin walk down the opposite path toward the cable car. When the camera switches it should be visible on the path in front of you.
Loss	Chris	Immediately after gaining control in the basement turn around and look on the ground in front of the object with a sheet over it directly behind you. The totem is on the ground beneath it.
Danger	Mike	Lying on the ground to the left of the generator shack.
Fortune	Mike	After moving/getting passed the mine cart follow the tracks up and to the right to find a dead end. The totem will be on the ground.
Loss	Mike	After exiting the mines follow the path to the left to find a totem around a narrow path along the hillside.

CHAPTER 3

TOTEM TYPE	CHARACTER	LOCATION
Danger	Mike	After jumping over the tree go towards the snow plow and follow a path along the left-hand side which will lead to a dead end with a totem on the ground.
Guidance	Mike	Before crossing the bridge next to the waterfall you'll find a totem on the left-hand side on the ground in front of a tree.

CHAPTER 4

TOTEM TYPE	CHARACTER	LOCATION
Death	Chris	Once you've exited the cabin and reached a fork in the path go to the left. Follow the blood smears and you should find a totem on the ground nearby.
Guidance	Mike	Head down the stairs in the barn and veer to the left. The totem will be lying on the floor near the bottom of the stairs.

CHAPTER 5

TOTEM TYPE	CHARACTER	LOCATION
Fortune	Mike	Before entering the sanatorium walk to the opposite side of the courtyard entrance. Right before the gate there will be a totem on the ground.
Loss	Mike	Once at the entrance to the sanatorium follow the path to the left used by the stranger and enter the building through the hidden entrance he used. Once down in the basement walk toward some broken fencing. The totem will be in a puddle on the floor near a wall.
Death	Mike	After shooting the lock off the door allowing you to follow the stranger make your way down the hallway and go through the door on your left. Before going down to the next level go to the left and head to the back left of the giant room. It will be lying on the floor next to a broken chair.
Death	Matt	Near the back of the picnic tables across from the cable car station.
Guidance	Matt	After making your way along the outside of the cable car station you'll find the totem off to the right in the snow. Across from the top of the stairs.
Fortune	Matt	As you make your way to the Firetower there will be a totem on the ground near a tree after the wooden cliff side.

CHAPTER 6

TOTEM TYPE	CHARACTER	LOCATION
Guidance	Emily	After triggering the Firetower motion lights you'll find the totem on the ground near the picnic table.

CHAPTER 7

TOTEM TYPE	CHARACTER	LOCATION
Danger	Emily	After starting the elevator in the mines go down the stairs until you reach the cave floor. It will be on the ground near a wooden barrel before passing through the entryway with a shovel next to it.
Death	Emily	Walk past the ladder where you have to reactivate the elevator's power and follow the mine tracks until you reach a stopping point near some collapsed beams. It will be beneath them.

CHAPTER 8

TOTEM TYPE	CHARACTER	LOCATION
Fortune	Emily	When you see a mine cart resting against fallen stones on the left you'll see a small area off to the right. There will be a totem on the wooden plank floor.
Loss	Chris	After returning to the barn walk to find Josh gone go outside. Do not follow the stranger yet. Turn to the left and walk along the right side of the barn in the opposite direction. You will find the totem lying on the ground. *It is possible to get this totem during your first trip to the barn earlier in the game.

CHAPTER 9

TOTEM TYPE	CHARACTER	LOCATION
Danger	Mike	Once you've returned to the main room of the sanatorium go to the door in the left most corner that is unlocked. Before exiting out the blown out wall to find a clue outside there will be a totem to the left on the floor.
Danger	Ashley	While following Same through the tunnels until there are a cluster of barrels on the right. Turn left here and there will be a hidden alcove with a totem lying on the floor.
Loss	Ashley	Available when you choose the "Investigate Voice" option. DO NOT OPEN THE HATCH. Move to the lower area and approach a fork in the tunnel pathway. Look to your left and move into a new room with two barrels in it. It will be on the ground just past where the barrels are.
Death	Sam	After she climbs up the wall head toward the stairs on the right-hand side. Follow the path along the gap and keep going straight DO NOT turn left, go up a second set of stairs. You will come to an area where the totem will be on the ground to the left. Next to where you entered. Once you found it backtrack and proceed with the level.

CHAPTER 10

TOTEM TYPE	CHARACTER	LOCATION
Fortune	Josh	Follow Mike but stop at the fork in the path. Turn left and enter a large clearing area, the totem will be on the ground.
Fortune	Sam	Just before climbing down into the underground pond for the first time there will be a totem on the right hand side. If you don't grab it before jumping in the pond there is no going back.
Loss	Matt	After moving through a doorway and down a tunnel path you will reach mine cart tracks. Head to Matt's left (toward the camera) until the angle changes and you'll see it on the ground between the tracks.
Danger	Sam	After climbing out of the mines there will be a fork in the road. Take the right-hand path and you'll see it on the ground to the left.
