The latest State of Play stream kicked off with a special reveal for PSVR owners. That’s right, we’re talking about Moss: Book 2, the latest VR adventure for the lovable mouse Quill. Developer Polyarc’s newest game seems to be shaping up well, and its PSVR release is guaranteed. But what about other VR systems? Is Moss 2 coming to the the Vive, Quest 2, or Valve Index?
Is Moss 2 coming to Quest 2, Vive, or Valve Index?
Developer Polyarc has not yet mentioned any plans to bring Moss 2 to the Oculus Quest, Quest 2, HTC Vive, or Valve Index. Only its PSVR release is confirmed so far. However, the previous Moss game released for other VR systems, so Quest 2, Vive, or Index versions are possible, maybe even likely.
Of course, as things stand right this moment, details are slim. Given that we just got our first look at Moss: Book 2, we only know about the game’s PlayStation VR release. Going by Polyarc’s history, however, it’s reasonable to assume a Quest release is also coming. Moss launched for PSVR in February of 2018, and its Quest version came about four months later in June 2018.
There’s really no reason why it shouldn’t release for other VR HMDs, either. The Moss page on Steam lists support for basically every major headset on the market. The Valve Index, HTC Vive, Oculus Rift, and Windows Mixed Reality headsets are all compatible. Given that it’s also on PSVR, Moss is one of the most highly-rated VR games to be available on basically all major VR headsets.
Polyarc hasn’t said whether or not Moss: Book 2 will release for the Quest, Vive, or Index. Only PSVR is confirmed so far, but don’t lose hope just yet. There’s good reason to believe that Moss 2 will eventually be released for all modern VR headsets from Valve, HTC, and Oculus, even Windows Mixed Reality.
