Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart features many different types of armor. These armor pieces each come with their own special effects. Some impact battle effectiveness while others offer a buff to loot or XP. Each helmet, chest, and boots piece can be mixed and matched for a unique look, with additional personalization possible through color tweaking. However, what is the very best Rift Apart armor to unlock and equip?
What is the best armor in Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart?
The best armor in Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart is the Advanced Carbonox Armor.
To unlock the Advanced Carbonox Armor, players must complete each Arena challenge that has an armor piece reward. There is one in each of the three difficulty tiers: Bronze, Silver, and Gold. This means that the full suit of Advanced Carbonox Armor can be considered “endgame armor.’
However, it’s worth noting that the best armor choice is a personal preference, as the buffs unlocked with each new armor piece are automatically applied to Ratchet and Rivet no matter what they are wearing.
This means that, even if players never change from the default skins, they will still benefit from the buffs unlocked with each armor. This also saves time, as players won’t need to switch between armor to optimize defense against the different enemy types.
In the early game, armor pieces that provide XP and increase Bolts are valuable, as they’ll make it easier to rank up for health increases and to get money for new weapons.
Those who buy the Digital Deluxe Edition also receive the Imperial Armor, Scavenger Armor, Android Armor, Rebel Armor, and Hacker Armor. The standard Carbonox Armor is also available as a pre-order bonus.
