Roblox can be a lot of fun, but it can also be expensive. Users can buy all sorts of in-game items using Robux, which cost real money to purchase. But, can players get their money back after spending Robux? If not, is Roblox adding refunds soon? Here’s the latest on getting a refund from Roblox Corporation.
Does Roblox give refunds?
Roblox does give refunds. Parents can claim refunds on unauthorized purchases made by their children, though not under any other circumstances.
How to get a refund from Roblox
Here’s what to do if an unauthorized Roblox charge appears on a Credit/Debit card, PayPal, or Google Play account statement:
- Click here to report “Xsolla*Roblox” charges
- For charges appearing as just “Roblox,” click here
- When completing a refund request, include the following information (as applicable):
- List of charges by date and amount
- Billing Name
- The last four digits of the Credit/Debit Card used
- PayPal account email address
- Google Play purchase numbers
- Roblox username
Unfortunately, Roblox can’t directly refund purchases made via Apple/iTunes, Microsoft Store (Windows App or Xbox), and Amazon. Click the relevant link to contact each platform holder and seek a refund from them.
For a long time, Roblox didn’t offer any means of refunding. Although this is a step in the right direction, many still hope for a better Roblox refund policy in the future. By comparison to a game like Fortnite, getting a refund in Roblox is hard work for parents. There is a chance, however, that Roblox Corp. may have to improve its policy soon. A minor and her father are currently suing Roblox for deleting her paid items, all without offering any kind of refund or appropriate compensation.
Stay tuned for updates on any Roblox refund policy improvements. It’s possible that the court system will rule that Roblox Corp. must change its refund stance due to the ongoing lawsuit.
