Knowing how long Knockout City will be free is key for those who want to enjoy this dodgeball game without paying a dime. The game launched with a free trial, but some may not know when that free trial will run out. Here’s when the Knockout City free trial ends.
When does the Knockout City free trial end?
The Knockout City free trial will last until May 30, 2021 at an unspecified time (it might be around 5 PM PT, given when some of the challenges reset). After that, the game can only be played by purchasing the $20 version on each system’s respective store.
There will likely be some other free trial down the line and the game might even go free-to-play sometime in the future, but developer Velan Studios has not commented on either possibility, which is understandable at this early point in the game’s life.
This free trial period is known as the “Block Party Free Trial” within the game. This is all around the game in its current state. The general timer is even at the main “menu” and shown in the bottom right corner of the screen, as shown in the above picture.
Velan Studios has not listed an exact time. The challenges only say “four days left” as of May 26, which would obviously lead to May 30. The daily challenges do reset at 5 PM PT, which might mean that the free trial would end on May 30 at 5 PM PT. For what it’s worth, many other games “reset” their days at 5 PM PT as well.
Is Knockout City free to play?
Knockout City is not a free-to-play game. It is currently a $20 premium title that launched with a free trial. Velan has not said if the game will go free-to-play sometime in the future, which makes sense at this current stage.
