Madden NFL 21: Update 1.28 Patch Notes and Highlights

Madden 21 update 1.28 patch notes highlights

Madden 21 update version 1.28 is a very small patch aimed at just one single bug. According to the official patch notes, this update addresses “an issue with end conditions in Madden Ultimate Team Ultimate Challenges.” Aside from that detail, the PlayStation 4 patch notes also mention the usual stability and quality improvements.

If you were hoping for more information, you’re sadly out of luck. So far there appears to be no official changelog beyond the patch notes provided. However, there is some further good news: Since Madden 21 update 1.28 is such a small update, it won’t take very long to download or install. That’s for PC, PlayStation, and Xbox users, of course — Stadia users won’t have to download the patch at all.

Needless to say, this patch isn’t nearly as big as some of the other notable title updates. Thankfully, it also doesn’t change any of the game’s physics or motion. Like with the title update released in February, most changes typically revolve around bug fixes or network improvements. Considering that Madden 21 servers are occasionally taken down for maintenance, further optimizations are always welcome.

In other news, a PlayStation 5 update will finally let players store current-gen games on external drives. PlayStation 4 games will also be playable on PS5 thanks to the Share Play feature, which is due to release tomorrow. All those who haven’t yet been able to jump on the current-gen console bandwagon should also learn more about PS5 restock times and availability.
