How to get the yellow hat out of the cage in Little Nightmares 2

Little Nightmares 2 | How to get the yellow hat out of the cage

The yellow hat is one of the first collectibles that players can find in Little Nightmares 2. Unfortunately, it’s tricky to get, as it is locked inside of a cage hanging suspended above the ground. This rain hat is one of the best hats in the game as it complements Six’s outfit, so players will want to grab it. Here’s how to get the yellow hat out of the cage.

To get the yellow hat out of the cage, players need to:

  • First, climb the cage on the right.
  • Get to the highest point and then jump across to the suspended cage.
  • Climb to the top of the cage so that Mono is above the hat.
  • Repeatedly jump on top of the cage to force it to the ground.
  • Pick up the hat.

The yellow rain hat can then be equipped in the “Hats” option in the pause menu.

Once Six has uncovered her trademark raincoat, Mono’s rain hat goes along perfectly. Its bright yellow color stands out in the grim darkness. It’s pretty unique in that respect, as the other hats are dark.

Players will want to keep an eye out for other hats as they make their way through the game. There are 12 hats in total, many of which are well-hidden and require some careful thought and/or thorough exploration to find.
