Fortnite 3.03 Update Patch Notes

Fortnite 3.03 Update Patch Notes | Today, February 5

The Fortnite 3.03 update patch notes have been revealed by developer Epic Games. The new Fortnite patch for today, February 5, is currently rolling out across all supported systems: that’s PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Android. (iOS players are still barred from new updates.) While the previous update added a lot of content for players to explore, including the Mandalorian limited-time mode, the new Fortnite 3.03 update isn’t quite so exciting. However, it does implement some key fixes that are detailed below.

What are the Fortnite 3.03 update patch notes?

Versions 3.03

  • Fixed the queuing bug with tournaments.
  • Fixed the “Disable Pre-edit Option” in BR/Creative applying to STW.
  • Fixed the recent performance issues on PC (DX12 still impacted).
  • Fixed the PS5 stability issues.

These patch notes were delivered through the official @FortniteStatus Twitter account which regularly provides info on upcoming patches and downtime for maintenance.

It should be noted that PC players using DX12 may still experience performance issues. For those using DX12, which is required for ray tracing, it may be worth temporarily adjusting to DX11 until a fix is rolled out.

It’s uncommon for Fortnite to receive a fix on a Friday. Clearly some of these issues were of a high-enough priority to be rolled out as soon as possible, rather than waiting for the next week’s update.

Hopefully those being affected by the now-fixed issues can enjoy Fortnite over the weekend, whether that’s by playing in tournaments, enjoying the Creative mode, or trying out the next-gen version on PS5.
