Resident Evil Village has its own share of editions to collect, all of which were just announced during the recent livestream. There are three editions: Standard, Deluxe, and Collector’s editions. So what are the differences? Follow this RE8 pre-order guide to figure out what version has what.
Resident Evil Village Pre-Order Guide | Standard Edition
The Resident Evil Village Standard Edition is the most basic of the three and will come out on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. It includes the base version of Resident Evil Village and that’s it.
Pre-ordering nets players the Mr. Raccoon weapon charm and survival resource pack that gives players an in-game lockpick, ammo, and healing resources.
But pre-ordering on PSN nets players the digital mini-soundtrack of Resident Evil Village. It will be $59.99.
Resident Evil Village Pre-Order Guide | Deluxe Edition
The Resident Evil Village Deluxe Edition will also be on all platforms and, as the name implies, comes with a lot more:
- Safe room music
- A harder “max difficulty”
- Mr. Everywhere bobbleheads (that presumably are collectibles or a weapon charm)
- A “found footage” RE7 filter for the game
- The Albert01 Chris pistol
- The Tragedy of Ethan Winters art book
- A save device that looks like the tape recorder from RE7
This version will be $69.99.
Resident Evil Village Pre-Order Guide | Collector’s Edition
The Resident Evil Village Collector’s Edition, which is only coming to consoles, is the most packed version of the game and comes with:
- All of the Deluxe Edition content
- A real-life Chris Redfield figure
- Artbook
- Steelbook
- A poster that is the map of the game
- A box
This edition will be $219.99 and seems to be only at GameStop for the time being.
Resident Evil Village Pre-Order Guide | Complete Bundle
This last one is just a bundle of the Resident Evil Village Deluxe Edition and Resident Evil 7: Gold Edition. It costs $79.99 so it is essentially just $10 more for the inclusion of RE7, which can be played immediately upon purchase. Just note that it is a backwards compatible version of the 2017 game and not a next-gen port.
