Mewtwo is the result of human experiments to create the perfect Pokemon, which explains why the Kanto region’s original Legendary has endured and excelled until today.

Although Deoxys has a higher Attack stat (345) and Slaking has a greater Max CP (4,431) — which can make them look better on paper — neither Pokemon is as good as Mewtwo in practice. Mewtwo is applicable to more situations, thanks to being a good all-rounder with a better variety of moves and stats.
How to catch Mewtwo in Pokemon Go
Mewtwo is only available via specific raids and community events in Pokemon Go. The next opportunity to catch Mewtwo is during the Pokemon Go Tour: Kanto in-game event, which takes place on Saturday, February 20, 2021. During the event, all 150 Pokemon from the Kanto region will be available to catch for those that buy a ticket; that includes a Mewtwo with the Psystrike move. For those that don’t purchase a ticket, Mewtwo will still be available via a Legendary raid.
