So, here’s how to download and play for free on PC and Apple Mac in 2021.

Fortnite is a free-to-play game on all platforms. This is great news for those looking to download and play on their personal computer, as doing so won’t cost a single penny.

How to download Fortnite on PC for free (2021)

  1. Visit the Fortnite website.
  2. Click the yellow “DOWNLOAD” button in the top right.
  3. Select “PC/MAC” from the list of platforms.
  4. Create or sign in to an Epic Games account using any of the available methods.
  5. The Epic Installer will automatically download.
  6. Click the downloaded file once completed.
  7. Complete the Epic Games Launcher Setup Wizard.
  8. Open the Epic Games Launcher and search for Fortnite via the “Store” tab.
  9. Opt to download Fortnite.
  10. Once the download is complete, navigate to the “Library” tab and launch Fortnite to play on PC.

  6. Open the file once the download is complete.
  7. Proceed through the Epic Games Launcher Setup Wizard.
  8. Open the Epic Games Launcher, then navigate to the “Store” tab and search for Fortnite.
  9. Download Fortnite via its page.
  10. When the download finishes, go to the “Library” tab and select Fortnite to play on Mac.

New starters shouldn’t be tempted to buy other users’ Fortnite accounts to get a headstart. Purchasing a Fortnite Crew subscription can be a quick way to earn some tasty goodies, however, for players both new and old.
