Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War‘s tracer packs give weapons a bit of extra flair, enabling them to fire colored bullets. At the time of writing, it’s possible to equip green or purple bullets, but developer Treyarch Studios will likely add more to the Store soon. Here’s how to get colored bullets in Black Ops Cold War.
How to get colored bullets in Black Ops Cold War
To get colored bullets in Black Ops Cold War, players must purchase a Tracer Pack from the Store.
Currently, the only way to unlock a Tracer Pack is to spend CP in the game’s Store, which means exchanging real-world money. The Tracer Pack: Bulldozer Operator Bundle, for example, costs 2,400 CP.
Tracer Pack descriptions read:
“Note: This pack features weapons that change the tracer fire to a COLOR.”
Thankfully, it’s clear from the product description what color bullets the packs include. It should be noted that the tracer rounds are part of a blueprint, meaning players can’t swap bullet colors across different weapons.
Tracer rounds are purely cosmetic, offering no additional damage benefit. Users seeing them in-game should treat them as if it’s just normal gunfire. With that said, the purple and green bullet effects can be a little distracting, especially in darker environments.
Those hoping to find tracer rounds in the Battle Pass will be disappointed to learn that, no, they aren’t currently featured.
