One of the most tragic characters in Cyberpunk 2077 is Evelyn Parker. Considering her fate, many players want to know if anything can be done to save Evelyn. Given how spontaneous her end is and how prominently she features in the early story, one would think there’s a way for Evelyn to live in Cyberpunk 2077.
Can you save Evelyn in Cyberpunk 2077?
After the events of The Heist mission, Evelyn goes into hiding. Since she’s one of the V’s only leads in their quest to remove the Relic, finding Evelyn is a major goal in Act 2. After the quest “Playing For Time,” V can start “Automatic Love,” which leads to a series on quests in which the player can save Evelyn.
After The Heist, Evelyn continues working as a Doll at the Cloud sex club. Unfortunately, while she’s in the middle of an act, a hacker gains access to her cybernetics and fries them. This pushes her into a nearly catatonic state. The club manager takes her to Fingers, an incredibly sleazy ripperdoc, who is unable to help her. Fingers then sells Evelyn to a group who makes snuff Braindances,
By the time V and Judy discover the snuff BD studio and save Evelyn, she’s already been through a lot. She remains catatonic, and though players save her body, her mind is still locked in turmoil.
Can Evelyn live in Cyberpunk 2077?
Unfortunately, Evelyn’s trauma is too much for her to bear. The main quest line leaves her story unresolved, but within a day of the player completing the quest “Double Life,” Judy will call and tell V that Evelyn has committed suicide. There’s no avoiding this fate, and the player can take no actions leading to an alternative outcome.
Evelyn’s suicide is the catalyst that begins Judy’s side missions (and romance if playing as a female V). Though Evelyn’s death may be inevitable, the player can choose whether to avenge her or not.
