When is the Sackboy: A Big Adventure online co-op release date?
Sackboy: A Big Adventure will hit PS4 and PlayStation 5 on November 12. The 3D platformer isn’t free like fellow PS5 launch title Astro’s Playroom (which is excellent, by the way), though it does come with the added bonus of co-op support. Unfortunately, Sony has confirmed that cooperative play over the internet will not be available from day one. The Sackboy: A Big Adventure online co-op release date is “by end of 2020” according to Design Director, Ned Waterhouse. Although there’s no exact online co-op patch launch date, provided that the devs hit their targetted release window, the patch should land no more than seven weeks post-launch on PS4 and PS5.
The development team at Sumo Digital “made the difficult decision” to delay Sackboy: A Big Adventure online multiplayer functionality to make it the “very best experience it can be.” PlayStation Blog broke the regrettable news, though, hopefully, the delay will make for a better product in the long term.
