Yakuza: Like a Dragon, also known as Yakuza 7, puts a new twist on the popular series. Recently, Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio has been partnering with Microsoft to bring the franchise to Xbox users for the first time. This has included past titles hitting the Xbox Game Pass catalog for Xbox One and PC. So, should fans expect a Yakuza: Like a Dragon Game Pass addition at launch?
Yakuza: Like a Dragon Game Pass | Coming to Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and S?
For years the Yakuza series has been synonymous with PlayStation, but not so much now. Like a Dragon is a next-gen Xbox exclusive, available on Xbox Series X and S from launch whereas the PS5 version isn’t due until 2021. That’s a big get for Microsoft, but it’d be even better to see the excellent newest installment available to Game Pass subscribers. Older games in the franchise hit the service on day one, so a Yakuza 7 Game Pass addition at launch doesn’t seem outlandish.
Yakuza: Like a Dragon will not be available via Game Pass on Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and S at launch. Neither Microsoft nor SEGA has announced that the game will launch straight into Xbox Game Pass. Of course, it is possible that Yakuza 7 will be made available to subscribers in the future.
Yakuza: Like a Dragon Game Pass | Coming to PC?
The Windows 10 version of Yakuza: Like a Dragon will not be available on PC via Xbox Game Pass at launch. Microsoft and SEGA could partner to bring Yakuza 7 to the Game Pass catalog in the future, however. At least the game is coming to Steam for anybody that wants to purchase the PC version.
