While the Sony PlayStation 5 is primarily designed to play video games, it’s also a great way to enjoy streaming services. Which streaming services does PS5 support?
Sony has confirmed that the PlayStation 5 will offer access to several popular video streaming services such Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime. The PS5 will also have Spotify, Twitch, and YouTube access available on day one.
The confirmed list of streaming services supported by the PlayStation 5 include:

In addition to general streaming apps, the PS5 also notably supports an optional media remote. The aptly named PS5 Media Remote includes four dedicated app launch buttons for Disney+, Netflix, Spotify, and YouTube. These will offer a quick and convenient way to browse video content without having to pick up the DualSense controller.
As for how it all works, Sony has explained that video and audio services will be available through the PS5’s Media space. The goal is to make it easy to swap between both games and general media content. In addition, the PS5 has a Control Center featuring quick access to some of the most common audio options for those who use it to play music.
Of course, not every streaming platform will be supported right out of the gate. The company particularly hasn’t had much to say about HBO Go, and it appears that not all streaming services will be offered in all countries. Additionally, not all streaming apps will be available on launch day, though Sony says that there will be “more apps to come in the future.”
