The full Assassin’s Creed Valhalla skill tree is massive. To break it down, each section will list out what numbers correspond to what skill. This is for players who want to know what is on the tree before committing. Players can respec for free at any time by highlighting the skills they want to take away and holding the X or Square button on PlayStation and Xbox, respectively. Noteworthy skills will be bolded.
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla red skill tree
- Red skill #1: Stomp
- When an enemy falls to the ground, press R3 to stomp on their face.
- Red skill #2: Perfect Attack
- Press the light attack button again during a weapon swing to do more damage on the next hit.
- Red skill #3: Parry Damage
- Successful parries also deal damage to the attacker.
- Red skill #4: Dual Swap
- When Dual-Wielding, hold R2/right trigger and R3 to swap weapon hands.
- Red skill #5: Adrenaline Upgrade
- +1 Adrenaline Slot
- Red skill #6: Berserker’s Mettle
- Fight with reckless abandon. A partially filled Adrenaline Slot will not be affect by an enemy’s first strike.
- Red skill #7: Light Bow Combo
- Consecutive shots with a Light Bow deals extra damage.
- Red skill #8: Heavy Dual Wield
- You can dual wield heavy weapons. This will alter the stats of handling of each weapon.
- Red skill #9: Adrenaline Fiend
- When one or more Adrenaline Slots are filled, you gain a damage boost and attack speed boost. This effect augments with each slot filled.
- Red skill #10: Arrow Volley
- Discharge all loaded arrows at once by holding and releasing R1/RB with a Light Bow. Each volley of arrows has a stamina cost.
- Red skill #11: Warrior Takedown
- Attempt an R2/RT takedown on an unaware enemy with your melee weapon. It will alert all enemies around you but will fill your Adrenaline for every one of them.
- Red skill #12: Terror
- After a Stun Finisher, weak enemies nearby may cower in fear.
- Red skill #13: Battlefield Cremation
- Enemies who perish from one of your fire attacks will continue to burn, dealing fire damage to enemies nearby.
- Red skill #14: Sprint Bash
- Unlocks the ability to bash through breakable objects and push NPCs to the ground while sprinting.
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla yellow skill tree
- Yellow skill #1: Backstab
- Landing a blow directly to an enemy’s back will inflict increased defense damage and cause them to stagger.
- Yellow skill #2: Advanced Assassination
- Unlocks the ability to assassinate high-level targets with a timing-based attack.
- Yellow skill #3: Breakfall
- Eivor automatically performs a roll when landing from a dangerous height, reducing the amount of damage taken.
- Yellow skill #4: Missile Reversal
- Send it right back at ’em. Catch and throw back virtually any projectile to its sender by pressing L1/LB just before it hits you.
- Yellow skill #5: Auto-Loot
- Loot an enemy automatically after a melee kill or a stealth takedown.
- Yellow skill #6: Chain Assassination
- After performing a successful assassination, throw an axe at a second NPC standing in close proximity.
- Yellow skill #7: Assassin’s Cantrip
- Following a successful parry, quickly press Triangle/Y to throw a smoke bomb at your feet and disappear.

- +1 Adrenaline Slot
- Yellow skill #9: Guided Arrow
- Your mastery with the Predator Bow allows you to perform unbelievable feats of accuracy. Press R1/RB to adjust the arrow’s trajectory as it flies.
- Yellow skill #10: Explosive Corpse
- Booby-trap a dead body to damage anyone who investigate it. Hold R3 near a dead body to load it with explosive powder.
- Yellow skill #11: Miasma
- Enemies who die from one of your poison attacks will release a toxic cloud around them, infecting those who enter.
- Yellow skill #12: Brush With Death
- Dodging just before an attack lands grants you heightened senses, making others around you appear to move slower for a time.
- Yellow skill #13: Predator Bow Combo
- Consecutive headshots with a Predator Bow deal extra damage.
- Yellow skill #14: Counter Roll
- Dodge towards an enemy’s red, unblockable Rune Attack just before it lands to vault directly behind them.

- Blue skill #1: Stealth Recon
- Automatically highlight enemies when crouched and undetected.
- Blue skill #2: Sprint Attack
- Press R1/RB while sprinting to do a powerful sprint attack.
- Blue skill #3: Last Chance Healing
- When your health reaches a critical state in conflict, everything around you will appear to move slower, giving you time to heal or flee.
- Blue skill #4: Adrenaline Upgrade
- +1 Adrenaline Slot
- Blue skill #5: Grit
- Regain the “red portion” of your health bar when landing successful melee hits on an enemy.
- Blue skill #6: Battleground Bolt
- Press Triangle/Y to pick up the nearest discarded weapon, and automatically throw it at an enemy in sight.
- Blue skill #7: Charged Shot
- Fire two fully charged arrows by pressing R1/RB with the Hunter Bow. This attack cannot be canceled.
- Blue skill #8: Bow to Melee Link
- Alternating between bow and melee attacks deals extra damage for a short time.
- Blue skill #9: Bow Stun Finisher
- Press R3 when aiming at a stunned enemy’s head to trigger a Bow Stun Finisher.
- Blue skill #10: Stealth Adrenaline
- While in stealth, gain Adrenaline by looting a chest or pick-pocketing in restricted area.
- Blue skill #11: Emergency Aim
- Holding L2/LT will snap your aim to an enemy as the detect you, giving you an opportunity to kill them and remain undetected.
- Blue skill #12: Hunter Bow Combo
- Release your arrows as you finish drawing to make the next one draw faster.
- Blue skill #14: Arrow Reinforcement
- With this skill, arrows never break and may be collected from fallen enemies.
