Is Xbox Series X Game Pass worth it?

Xbox Game Pass is a great value proposition on PC and Xbox One. Priced at just $9.99 a month, subscribers gain unlimited access to 100+ complete games. That said, is Xbox Series X Game Pass worth it? From next-gen compatibility to upcoming titles, here’s the need-to-know on whether or not it’s worth subscribing to Xbox Game Pass on Xbox Series X and S.

Is Xbox Series X Game Pass worth subscribing to?

Is Xbox Series X Game Pass worth it

Xbox Game Pass gives subscribers access to a large catalog of games for a baseline $10 monthly fee. Users can choose to subscribe to console, PC, or Ultimate versions of Game Pass; Xbox Game Pass Ultimate ($15) includes both of the aforementioned services, alongside Xbox Live Gold to enable online multiplayer. After shelling out on new hardware, is an Xbox Series X Game Pass subscription worth the added cost?

Yes, subbing to Xbox Game Pass (or Game Pass Ultimate) as an Xbox Series X owner is worth it. Xbox Game Pass regularly introduces new, quality games to the service and in generous quantities. Game Pass gets a lot of third-party and independent support, though, perhaps most excitingly, first-party exclusives are all available from day one. Games like Halo Infinite, Fable, and Avowed will be included at no additional cost on the day they launch.

All Game Pass titles available on Xbox One will also work on Xbox Series X; that means an Xbox Series X Game Pass subscription grants instant access to the full console catalog. Select titles even feature Xbox Series X optimizations, meaning they look and play better on the console than elsewhere. These titles include Gears Tactics, Gears 5, and Forza Horizon 4 at launch. Meanwhile, Halo: The Master Chief Collection will receive an upgrade later in November.

Xbox Series X Game Pass is definitely worth it, and the same goes for an Xbox Series S Game Pass subscription. At the time of writing, players will struggle to find a better deal elsewhere.
