Phasmophobia is the freaky new early access release from the team at Kinect Games. In it, you’re tasked with observing and recording ghosts inside a haunted house. However, the ghosts can distract or mislead you through various means, including activating car alarms. To get back to the business at hand, you’ll want to know how to turn off car alarms. Here’s how to do it.
Phasmophobia | How to turn off car alarms
To turn off car alarms in Phasmophobia, you’ll need to find the car’s keys. Once you’ve got them, walk outside and approach the vehicle in order to deactivate the alarm. Just remember to be careful, as the ghost that turned it on may still be nearby.
Car alarms are one of many mechanics in Phasmophobia meant to keep you distracted or disoriented. After all, blaring horns or sirens can prevent you from hearing or seeing any specters that may be hiding just out of sight. To get rid of the distraction, you have to do what you’d do in the real world.
Fortunately, this is fairly straightforward. Stages that feature cars also feature car keys. They’re typically found near the front door, either sitting in a key bowl (valet tray) or hanging on a ring somewhere on the wall.
Grab the keys, then walk outside toward the car and interact with it with the Use button. As long as the keys are in your hand, you’ll turn off the alarm. Doing so will typically prompt a Ghost Interaction EMF Level 2.
If you got to the car quickly, chances are the ghost is still close by. Be on your guard. If not, the ghost may still be lurking somewhere in the vicinity. Otherwise, the alarm may have been a bid to single someone out, so get back to your group as quickly as possible.
