Apex Legends cross-progression

Will Apex Legends have cross-progression?

Apex Legends cross-progression has been requested by fans since the launch of the game. Being able to rank up the same Battle Pass across PC, PS4, and Xbox One would be hugely convenient to many players. Here’s the latest information and answers to “Will Apex Legends have cross-progression?”

Is Apex Legends getting cross-progression for PC, PS4, and Xbox One?

Apex Legends Cross-Progression

Cross-progression in Apex Legends would be huge for players who have invested time and money into unlocking rare skins, Heirlooms, and Battle Pass rewards. So then, is it being added?

No, Apex Legends is not getting cross-progression. Developer Respawn Entertainment has explained that “due to the way systems were set up early on” cross-progression won’t be added” (via Eurogamer).

However, the above comment was made during the Apex Legends launch, which was over two years ago. A lot can change in that time and recent datamined game files tease possible cross-progression elements for the future.

Proven credible dataminer Shrugtal has reportedly discovered code for cross-progression that allows cosmetics and other times to be transferred from one account to another. If accurate, this could mean players sharing Heirlooms and Legendary skins across multiple profiles.

It’s unlikely that the developers would try to mislead players by including code like that, so perhaps cross-progression is being tested and hopefully will be made available soon.

This guide will be updated with new information as soon as it becomes available. Here’s hoping Resawn is on the case!

While cross-progression isn’t yet coming to Apex Legends, cross-play is. PC, PS4, and Xbox One players will soon be able to join one another in the fight to first place.

Those suffering from the pesky “no footsteps sound” bug will want to check out the latest fixes here. And if the “can’t ready up” bug is impacting your Apex Legends sessions, get the fix here.
