Phasmophobia will require you to use a camera in order to capture video footage of its ghosts, with the game requiring you to place the camera in rooms in order to find ghost orbs and other paranormal activity. Where is the video camera in Phasmophobia?
The video camera can be found in your starting van on one of the shelves. There are two cameras in this starting area, but the one you need to record video is the larger, black camera.
To pick up the video camera, hover over it and press E if you’re using a keyboard, or X/Square if you’re using an Xbox or PS4 controller.
How to place the video camera in Phasmophobia
In order to place the video camera in Phasmophobia, you need to look at where you want to place it. You’ll see an outline of the camera appear, indicating where it will be placed.
You can then rotate the camera in order to ensure it is facing in the right direction. Left-click on mouse or press the A/X button on an Xbox/PS4 controller to rotate the camera. Keep in mind that it will need to be pointed at the location in which you want to capture footage of the ghost.
To turn the camera on, right-click using your mouse or press RT/R2 on an Xbox/PS4 controller. Your camera will need to be on before placing it in order to record the footage, as you cannot turn it on after it has been put down.
To place the camera, press F on keyboard or LT/L2 on an Xbox/PS4 controller. This will place it in the location that was outlined.
How to record using the video camera in Phasmophobia
To record using the video camera, right-click your mouse or press RT/R2 on an Xbox/PS4 controller. After placing the camera, it will immediately begin recording.
You can see what is being recorded by heading into your van. Look at the computer located in the van and click the mouse to switch between cameras. You can also press the keyboard to toggle the night vision on and off. Keep an eye on this camera to watch for any paranormal activity, and note your evidence down in your journal.
