Is Among Us free on PC? After blowing up on Twitch and YouTube recently, Among Us has become one of the world’s most popular games. Everybody’s eager to get in on the fun, though, with the game costing nothing on mobile (iOS and Android), many are wondering: “Is Among Us free to play on PC?” Keep scrolling to find out.
Among Us PC | Is it free to play?
No, Among Us is not free on PC. Although Among Us is a free-to-play game on mobile, it costs $5 on both Steam and itch.io for PC.
It isn’t clear why there’s a difference in Among Us pricing between the mobile and PC platforms, but, unfortunately, there is. If you really want to play on PC the only option is to pay the $5 asking price. If you’re content to play on your iOS or Android device, however, then you can simply download the game for free from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, respectively.
Although the different pricing is odd, $5 for Among Us on PC at least isn’t expensive. Developer InnerSloth is currently working on Among Us 2, so hopefully, we’ll see universal pricing implemented for the sequel.
We might also see Among Us 2 console versions, which is exciting, considering that there are seemingly no plans for Among Us console ports.
