Can you find Jerome in The Outer Worlds Peril on Gorgon DLC?

Can you find Jerome in The Outer Worlds Peril on Gorgon DLC? It’s the million-bit question since the Love is the Plan and the Plan is Death side quest dedicated to him (which you can read more about here). So is he alive and can you find him? If so, where is his location?

If you found the diary entry in the bar, you will know that Jerome sadly turned into a marauder, meaning that his brain is fried and he is no longer the same person. But that doesn’t mean he is dead. So where is he?

This is a difficult question. Although it doesn’t appear that Jerome is in the game since we did not run across him despite our long search for him on Gorgon. We even reloaded that area where you find his flask but he did not appear to one of the ones by the apartments. There are a lot of marauders and he doesn’t appear to be any of the ones on Gorgon, unless he is tucked away in some hidden corner or is activated in some other way. It’s also possible (but unlikely) that he’s on some other planet since the marauders weren’t just locked to Gorgon.

However, it is very difficult to prove a negative since we won’t be able to say he isn’t there unless Obsidian says he isn’t in the game. It’s possible that someone will run into him or deduce which of the random marauders he is. It’s a tricky line to walk since the game brings him up like he could still be out there, but doesn’t give you really any solid info to track him down while also implying that he is probably dead.

You don’t even an answer to turn in the quest to Leonara and there is no additional mission to find him, which further complicates things by not putting a definitive cap on the question. Regardless, we will update this guide if someone does indeed track him down.
