A Fall Guys crossplay mode would work very well, given how the game needs 40 to 60 players to get going. If players from both PS4 and PC are able to match with each other, it means the game will have a better chance of having a steady supply of clumsy beans to put through the grinder. So is cross-platform play coming to Fall Guys?
Is there Fall Guys crossplay?
Fall Guys will sadly not support crossplay at launch. PS4 owners will not be able to play with PC owners and vice versa. However, that may not be the end of things as it sounds like the feature may be coming in the future.
Developer Mediatonic stated that cross-platform play was something it “really wanted to do in the future.” The team was exponentially more confident on the official Discord server and flat-out said it was coming. When prompted, the studio gave the following definitive answer: “Yes, but not on launch. It’s something we’re looking to add in the future.”
Given those answers, it seems like Fall Guys crossplay is coming at some point down the line during the game’s life. The developer has been more cagey on other questions but were more certain when talking about crossplay. It did say “yes,” after all, whereas other questions were met with more “not at this moment” kind of answers.
So now the question becomes, “When is Fall Guys crossplay coming?” and not “When is Fall Guys crossplay coming?” Mediatonic gave no release windows or dates for this feature so it might be a bit away. It also sounds like the game might hit other platforms later so while that makes crossplay more valuable, that could also push the game a little bit, too. It could also complicate things as more platforms mean more platforms to add crossplay to.
