Hunter Class Guide







As players gain experience and level up in Destiny, they unlock a series of class-specific abilities that help give an edge in battle. Some even require players to make careful decisions, such as the type of grenade they wish to use. Listed below are all the abilities for the two Hunter classes.



Gunslinger

 
Grenades Jumps Special Ability Melee Paths Buffs Ways Buffs (II)
Incendiary Grenade: An explosive grenade that catches enemies on fire, causing additional damage over time. Double Jump: Jump a second time after leaving the ground. Golden Gun: Summon a flaming pistol which disintegrates enemies with Solar Light. Throwing Knife: Throw a knife from a distance. Path Forgotten: Training focused on toughness and speed. Scavenger: Picking up ammo reduces the cooldown of your grenade and Throwing Knife. Way of the Drifter: Training focused on all attributes. Chain of Woe: Precision kills increase weapon reload speed. Stacks up to 3 times.
Swarm Grenade: A grenade which detonates on impact, releasing multiple drones that seek nearby enemies. Better Control: Upgrades Double Jump for better directional control while in the air. Deadeye: Significantly increases the accuracy of Golden Gun. Circle of Life: Killing an enemy with Throwing Knife while Golden Gun is active extends the duration of Golden Gun. Path Forbidden: Training focused on battle recovery and speed. Keyhole: Golden Gun overpenetrates and can damage multiple targets. Way of the Fearless: Training focused on toughness at all costs. Over the Horizon: Increases the range of Golden Gun.
Tripmine Grenade: An explosive grenade that sticks to surfaces and detonates when enemies pass through its laser trigger. Triple Jump: Upgrades Double Jump with a third jump. Combustion: Kill enemies with Golden Gun causes them to explode. Incendiary Blade: Throwing Knife catches enemies on fire, dealing additional damage over time. Path Unknown: Training focused on battle recovery and toughness. Gunslinger's Trance: Precision kills increase weapon stability. Stacks up to 3 times. Way of the Nomad: Training focused on maximum battle recovery. Gambler's Dagger: Gain an additional throwing knife.

Flux Grenade: An explosive grenade which deals additional damage when attached to enemies. Double Jump: Jump a second time after leaving the ground. Arc Blade: Charge your blade with Arc Light and consume your foes with lightning. Blink Strike: A powerful melee attack with extended range. Path Forgotten: Training focused on toughness and speed. Fleet Footed: Increases maximum spring speed and extends slide distance. Way of the Drifter: Training focused on all attributes. Encore: Killing an enemy with Arc Blade extends its duration.
Skip Grenade: A grenade which splits on impact, creating multiple projectiles which seek enemies. Higher Jump: Upgrades Double Jump for even greater height. Showstopper: Press during Arc Blade to damage nearby enemies. Backstab: Hitting an enemy from behind with Blink Strike causes significantly more damage. Path Forbidden: Training focused on battle recovery and speed. Quick Draw: Weapons ready immediately. Way of the Fearless: Training focused on toughness at all costs. Stalker: Gain invisibility after crouching in place for a short time.
Arcbolt Grenade: A grenade that chains bolts of lightning to nearby enemies. Better Control: Upgrades Double Jump for better directional control while in the air. Razor's Edge: Press during Arc Blade to unleash a destructive wave of energy that travels along the ground. Escape Artist: Hitting an enemy with Blink Strike grants brief invisibility. Path Unknown: Training focused on battle recovery and toughness. Shadowjack: Increases the duration of invisibility effects. Way of the Nomad: Training focused on maximum battle recovery. Hungering Blade: Kills with Arc Blade and Blink Strike immediately regenerate health.
N/A Blink: A short distance teleport that replaces Double Jump. Vanish: Press during Arc Blade to disappear from sight. Fast Twitch: Reduces the cooldown of Blink Strike. N/A N/A N/A N/A
