Another game-breaking bug is afflicting Call of Duty: Modern Warfare players. This time around it’s dev error 6345, which appears when trying (and subsequently failing) to launch the game. What is dev error 6345, and what can you do to fix it? Unfortunately, the only effective solutions will take a fair amount of time.
How to fix Modern Warfare dev error 6345
Modern Warfare dev error 6345 often appears alongside a message advising you to contact customer service support. While dev error 6345 has not been defined by the team at Activision, the problem can usually be fixed by repairing or reinstalling the game software.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare has plenty of error codes, and many of them don’t provide any real description of the problem. As you may have guessed, this is the case with error 6345. To make matters worse, Activision Support forum posts provide no clear indication of the underlying issue. With that said, some players seem to encounter this error after the game crashes or their system loses internet connectivity during a match.
The only real information we have about the problem comes from its potential fixes. Activision Support representatives have advised those affected by this error to try to repair the game software. On PC, this is done through the Scan and Repair tool on the Battle.net launcher. To give it a shot, click on the game’s icon, then find the option to Scan and Repair under the game’s title. Be advised that the repair process could take a while.
The only other potential fix involves uninstalling and reinstalling Modern Warfare. It’s not exactly ideal, but it does seem to resolve the issue in most instances. As such, we can only surmise that dev error 6345 involves some kind of corruption in the game’s code. Repairing or reinstalling the game appears to be the only real solution.
