Ghost of Tsushima content roadmap

Ghost of Tsushima Content Roadmap | Is there a Season Pass?

Most games have extensive DLC plans in place before they launch these days. That doesn’t appear to be the case with Ghost of Tsushima, however, which has been quiet regarding its post-launch support. So, is there a Ghost of Tsushima content roadmap in place? Can you buy a Ghost of Tsushima Season Pass to get all future downloadable content? We’ll let you know in this guide.

Ghost of Tsushima Content Roadmap | Is there DLC planned?

Ghost of Tsushima content roadmap

At the time of writing, there is no Ghost of Tsushima content roadmap. Developer Sucker Punch hasn’t announced any plans regarding post-launch DLC support for the PS4 exclusive, though will no doubt update it with free patches to address issues.

With Ghost of Tsushima being critically well-received, some players are likely to be disappointed by the apparent lack of new content support moving forwards. While this is understandable, resources are likely being shifted towards the upcoming PlayStation 5 that’s scheduled to launch this holiday. A similar approach was taken with The Last of Us 2, which is another PS4 exclusive with no DLC plans.

Of course, it’s also possible that Ghost of Tsushima is seen as a complete product by publisher Sony and the developers. Many nostalgic gamers have pined for a return to the days before DLC and microtransactions; the recent first-party PlayStation output has achieved that. As a result, though some will miss the inclusion of a Season Pass, others will see it as a positive.

While no Ghost of Tsushima roadmap has been shared and that largely speaks for itself, to our knowledge, the devs also haven’t shot down the idea of future downloadable content. Ultimately, we’ll have to wait and see whether we end up getting more adventures in feudal Japan as Jin Sakai.

If you’re looking to pick the game up, there’s still time to pre-order a physical copy of Ghost of Tsushima. Alternatively, going digital will allow you to preload right now.
