Once installed, certain in-game issues will now be fixed. Read on for the full list of Animal Crossing: New Horizons patch notes.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons 1.3.1 Update Patch Notes
Fixed the following issues:
- Addressed issue where players could not properly use a zen bridge or red zen bridge placed on top of a cliff (third tier).
- Addressed issue where a wet suit would not be available for sale within Nook’s Cranny.
- Addressed issue where hermit crabs would appear in places other than the beach.
- Addressed issue where a dialogue bubble would improperly appear after speaking with island residents.
While the previous update brought a host of big changes to the game, including the ability to dive for new sea creatures, the Animal Crossing: New Horizons 1.3.1 is devoid of any new content. Instead, it focuses on fixing some bugs and glitches.
If you’ve been struggling with placing zen bridges, buying wet suits from Nook’s Cranny, finding hermit crabs in places where they shouldn’t be, and/or noticing dialogue bubbles popping up in bizarre ways, then you will be pleased to hear that these problems should all have been fixed with the latest update.

Alternatively, if you’ve already mastered the basics of swimming, you’ll still want to check out our guides on how to catch the Gigas Giant Clam and Vampire Squid, which are both new rare creatures.
Expect to see more Animal Crossing: New Horizons patch notes soon, as the Summer Update #2 is scheduled to launch in August.
