How to get Watch Dogs 2 for free
Even though the game is currently having a free trial on Xbox One and just came to PlayStation Now, the Watch Dogs 2 free copy is only on PC. To redeem it, you’ll need to go through a few steps first. Also no matter what, remember that you won’t get the game until July 13.
First, you’ll need to tune in to Ubisoft Forward, which is the publisher’s E3-like event, that starts at 12:00 PM PT on Sunday, July 12. Look at the above chart to see when it starts for you. However, you can log in 30 minutes before during the show, too, so be sure to watch the event within 11:30 AM PT to 1:30 PM PT. Logging in any time within those two hours should work. Ubisoft says that you should get your free Watch Dogs 2 copy if you “log in with your Uplay account anytime after Trackmania and before the end of the main show.”
But you’re going to have to do more work depending on how you choose to watch the show. The safest way would be to log in to your Uplay account and watch it directly on Ubisoft’s website or through Uplay. This will cut out a lot of the people in the middle.
