When is the Shadow Warrior 3 release date? Ever since Devolver Digital and Flying Wild Hog announced a new Shadow Warrior game, fans have been getting hyped up to get back into the adventures of Lo Wang and his mischievous fox spirit friend. When can we play Shadow Warrior 3? Thankfully, it’s looking like we won’t have to wait too long.
The Shadow Warrior franchise got its start all the way back in 1997. This first-person shooter featured an interesting mix of swordplay and gunplay, enhanced by the power of the same engine that gave us the classic Duke Nukem 3D.
Unfortunately, Shadow Warrior nearly suffered the same fate as Duke Nukem — with the exception of a 2005 expansion pack for the original game, we didn’t get much in the way of new Shadow Warrior goodness for nearly 20 years. That was until Flying Wild Hog and Devolver Digital released the Shadow Warrior remake in 2013 and followed it up with an awesome sequel in 2016.
Now, Devolver Digital has announced that a third game in the franchise is on the way. So, when is the Shadow Warrior 3 release date? We’ve already waited a pretty long time and we’re going to have to wait a little longer, but it looks like we’re going to be able to play the next great adventure of Lo Wang a little sooner than you’d think.
When is the Shadow Warrior 3 release date?
Let’s get down to brass tacks — when will you be able to play Shadow Warrior 3? Unfortunately, neither Flying Wild Hog nor Devolver Digital have announced a specific release date just yet. That said, we do have a release window for now — Devolver Digital says that the third game in the Shadow Warrior franchise will be launching sometime in 2021.
While it won’t quite make a Holiday 2020 release, we’re always down for some more Shadow Warrior action. For now, you can add Shadow Warrior 3 to your wishlist on Steam.
