No Man’s Sky 2.55 Update Highlights

No Man's Sky 2.55 update

Dubbed the “Crossplay Patch 2.55,” this new No Man’s Sky update has applied various fixes and changes to the game’s crossplay mechanics. Of course it’s all about crossplay if it’s named the crossplay update. There isn’t too much to tell you about, unfortunately. Despite this, though, crossplay in No Man’s Sky should now be a better experience than it was before.

Crossplay Fixes & Multiplayer Changes

The annoying error where crossplay friends were unable to join if they were already in a group has now been fixed thanks to the update. Your crossplay friends should bow be joinable if they’re already in a group. Following the update, too, different icons will be shown for crossplay players on different platforms. A PS4 player will have a different icon from a PC player, for example. Finally, a fix has been deployed for PS4 players showing a game mode icon when playing in non-English languages. Crossplay in No Man’s Sky should be better from now on.

A couple of more general multiplayer fixes have been implemented, too. It’s not all about crossplay. Multiplayer connections for players using Windows 7 should now be fixed, for example. The full list of patch notes for the 2.55 update to No Man’s Sky can be read below, for every fix and change.
