Why Is Minecraft Realms Not Working | Is Minecraft Realms down?
If you’re noticing Minecraft Realms not working, it could be due to one of any number of problems. Let’s go into them one-by-one!
Has there recently been a Minecraft update?
Sometimes, a Minecraft update means that Mojang needs to temporarily take the servers down. If you haven’t been following the game closely, though, you might not know that an update has launched! Here’s the easiest ways to tell.
- Is there a new update in the Launcher?
- Is there news about an update on the Minecraft website?
- Has Mojang tweeted about an update on the official Minecraft Twitter?
If there is an update, then it will probably be a few hours at most before Mojang can get Minecraft Realms back online. If there hasn’t been an update, though, then there may be a more serious problem.
Is Mojang reporting that the servers are down?
The next question is whether or not there’s some other problem with Minecraft Realms. How do you find out if Minecraft Realms is down?
If there are any serious problems that can’t be immediately fixed, Mojang will usually put out a tweet stating that the servers are down.
What if there is no update and no reports that servers are down?
If there hasn’t been a recent update and Mojang isn’t saying that the servers are down, there are two possibilities remaining:
- The servers are down, but Mojang hasn’t said anything yet.
- Something is wrong with your copy of the game, your computer, or your Internet connection.
You may indeed be having trouble on your end. If that’s the case, you should read this help article and follow the steps to see if any of that helps. If you’re still having problems, you can contact Minecraft customer support.
