There’s nothing worse than downloading and installing a new Fortnite update, only to be met with a brand new bug or glitch that is preventing you from playing. Following the new Fortnite patch on PC, Xbox One, and PS4, the latter system’s playerbase is finding itself going up against a pesky loading screen, which is stopping them from dropping down to the island and getting on with the battle royale action. Thankfully, Epic Games is aware of the issue. Here’s what you need to know about the Fortnite Stuck on Battle Bus Loading Screen error fix.
How to fix the Fortnite Stuck on Battle Bus Loading Screen bug
The Fortnite Stuck on Battle Bus loading screen error is frustrating for those encountering it. At the time of writing, it is PS4 users that are experiencing the bug or glitch.

The update leaves players at a specific loading screen showing the Battle Bus. Despite it saying “Loading,” nothing actually happens.
The official @FortniteStatus Twitter account acknowledged the issue, meaning that developer Epic Games is aware of the problem and is (hopefully) working on a fix. As I write this, there isn’t yet any card created on the Fortnite Community Trello, so it’s difficult to know whether or not this will be a quick and easy fix.

Aside from the above tweet, there hasn’t been any further information provided about the issue.
To try and fix the issue, you can try rebooting the game. Failing that, you can try restarting your console.
Unfortunately, as is the case with online games, it’s not possible to simply roll back to an older patch. Instead, you just have to deal with the problem until the developer has found a fix.
Here’s hoping Epic Games can work out a fix sooner, rather than later!
