Crucible controller support

Is there Crucible controller support?

At long last, the game is finally here, but is there Crucible controller support? In this guide, we’ll let you in on exactly that. Read on to find out what controllers you can use in Crucible, and whether or not you can customize your controls in the game. Below, you’ll discover everything there is to know about controller options in Crucible.

Is there Crucible controller support?

Crucible controller support

Yes. There is controller support in Crucible. You can play the game, at least, with an Xbox 360 or Xbox One controller. As of writing, it doesn’t look the DualShock 4 works on Crucible. For now, though, you can head into Crucible knowing that your Xbox One or 360 controllers will work with the game.

You can edit the controls in Crucible, too. You have your standard Xbox gamepad keybinds, but it seems you can edit the keybinds to better suit how you play. Time for you to set up the game’s controls however you like. It’s wide open. A selection of the standard Xbox gamepad keybinds in Crucible are as follows:

  • Jump: A
  • Primary Fire: RT
  • Ability 1: B
  • Ability 2: LB
  • Ability 3: Y
  • Ability 4: LT
  • Reload: X
  • Detect Mode Toggle: Click left stick
  • Interact: Left D-Pad
  • Use Med Kit: Right D-Pad

For now, this is what we know about controller support in Crucible. Again, we will update this guide with more information when we are able to play the game again, if more information is needed. You can rest assured, however, that you can use an Xbox One or 360 controller to play Crucible, with what appears to be some level of flexibility when it comes to keybinds. Whether or not the game is better with mouse and keyboard or controller, though, that’s up to you. Now get out there, and start winning some matches. Whether that’s with an Xbox controller or with mouse and keyboard, is your choice.
