The release date for Crusader Kings 3 has been announced, and it’s coming sooner than you think. The latest game in the medieval grand strategy series is coming to PC this fall. However, a big question in fan’s minds is whether or not Crusader Kings 3 will come to Xbox or PS4.
Crusader Kings 3 release date
Stardock announced that Crusader Kings 3 will release for PC on September 1, 2020. The game is up for pre-order now for $49.99 on Steam and the Stardock website. If you happen to be an Xbox Game Pass for PC user, the game will be available on that service on launch day at no extra charge. However, those who pre-order will get the Garments of the Holy Roman Empire bonus DLC.

Is Crusader Kings 3 coming to consoles?
Stardock hasn’t confirmed whether or not Crusader Kings 3 will come to Xbox One and PS4 yet. In its 27 year history, Stardock has mostly shied away from publishing outside of computers, though. It’s highly unlikely that we’ll see Crusader Kings 3 on a console, and if we do, it’ll probably be quite a few years after the original PC release.
However, with the Xbox Series X and PS5 blurring the lines between PC and console even further, who knows what could happen. The biggest struggle with a Crusader Kings 3 console release would likely be finding a UI and control method that isn’t frustrating. The game is primarily played through text-heavy menus, and nothing beats a mouse for clicking between all those options.
