Many video games now feature crossplay, and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is no different. Players on consoles as well as PC can all jump into matches together, if they so choose. However, some folks aren’t exactly keen on crossplay, especially since console players can take advantage of systems such as aim assist. If you want to keep your battle royale experience pure, here’s how to turn off crossplay in Call of Duty: Warzone.
How to disable crossplay in Warzone
To turn off crossplay in Call of Duty: Warzone, you need to toggle a setting in the game’s Options menu. From the Options screen, look for the Account tab. Within Account, search for the option named Crossplay, then change the setting to Disabled. With crossplay turned off, you’ll only encounter players running the game from the same platform as you.

While most gamers are pleased to find cross-platform functionality, the feature still manages to draw ire. People who choose to play Warzone with a controller earn the most frustration, since controllers are eligible for aim assist. Likewise, console players like to avoid PC gamers in the chance that they’re using hacks or other software-based cheats.
In Warzone, the crossplay setting is turned on by default. This means you’ll encounter players from any platform across PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. With the setting disabled, you’ll only play with users on the same platform as you. That means PC players will be stuck with other PC players, PS4 with other PS4 players, and so on.
Thankfully, Infinity Ward has made it easy to turn off crossplay in Warzone. Simply toggle the setting for crossplay off from the Accounts tab in the Options menu. Just keep in mind that disabling crossplay will remove countless players from the pool, since it will stop you from joining matches with users on other platforms.
