Following the exciting news that Crytek is developing a Crysis remaster, FPS fanatics now have one question on their collective mind: “Is there a Crysis 2 and Crysis 3 Remastered release date?” It’s only natural to wonder whether the release of Crysis 2 Remastered and Crysis 3 Remastered will continue the trend and bring the entire trilogy up to date. Is it actually going to happen, though?
Stick with this guide as we explore the possibility of more Crysis remakes coming to the market.
When is the Crysis 2 Remastered release date?
At the time of writing, Crytek hasn’t announced any plans to remaster Crysis 2. As such, there’s no known Crysis 2 Remastered release date for us to share.

Although that might not be the news you wanted to read, the German developer also hasn’t ruled this possibility out. The Crysis series is no stranger to being ported, with the original PC title making the jump to Xbox 360 and PS3 years after its initial release. Now, courtesy of Crysis Remastered, it’s not only scheduled to re-launch on PC, but also reach PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch for the first time.
The precedent is very much there, so it could all depend on whether or not the upcoming Crysis Remastered is a success.
Is there a Crysis 3 Remastered release date?
As with the above, regrettably, no plans to release Crysis 3 Remastered have been announced by Crytek. There’s currently no release date to share as a result.
Again, Crytek clearly isn’t afraid to release ports and remasters relating to the Crysis series. This means that while there’s currently no word on a potential Crysis 3 remaster, there’s definitely a chance that later games in the trilogy — including, of course, Crysis 3 — could get the remaster treatment if Crysis Remastered performs well
We’ll be back to update this guide if and when any official news drops, but, until then, this is the best answer to the question: “Is there a Crysis 2 and Crysis 3 Remastered release date?”
