Resident Evil 3 remake multiple endings

Resident Evil 3 Remake | Are there multiple endings or epilogue files?

The original RE3 had multiple endings, so you’d think Resident Evil 3 remake would. Fans are wondering if, like RE2 remake, there are any conditions to get an alternate ending to RE3 remake. Alternatively, is there a way to get epilogues as you did in the original RE3?

I’ve beaten the game five times so far on various difficulties. So, I can tell you what you need to know about whether Resident Evil 3 remake has multiple endings.

Are there multiple endings to Resident Evil 3 remake?

Resident Evil 3 remake are there multiple endings

In the original RE3, you could get three different endings triggered by the following:

  • Ending A: When faced with the decision on the bridge right before the Dead Factory, choose to push Nemesis off.
  • Ending B: When on the bridge, choose to jump off. Later, decide to negotiate with Nicholai.
  • Ending C: Jump off the bridge before the Dead Factory. Make the decision to shoot down Nicolai’s chopper.

Ending A is canon, but all three are relatively similar. Endings B and C concern whether Nikolai lives or dies and feature Barry Burton flying the escape chopper as an easter egg.

In Resident Evil 3 remake, there’s only one ending. This is likely because the Live Selection system was cut, so you can no longer influence the story in the same way.

There’s the off chance that some sort of alternate ending could be triggered by some obscure requirement, but I would think I’d have seen it by now. I’ve beaten the game on Assisted, Standard, Hardcore, and Nightmare and seen no plot-related changes, including the ending. So, I’m going to state with 95% certainty that there’s only one ending to RE3 remake.

Does Resident Evil 3 remake have epilogue files?

One of the neat touches with the original Resident Evil 3 is that you could collect epilogue files after beating the game that clued you in on what happened to the survivors of the Raccoon City incident afterward.

Unfortunately, besides a small scene after the credits, I haven’t found any bonus epilogues. It would have been cool to see the originals recreated in HD, if only for nostalgia’s sake. However, that doesn’t seem to be the case.
