Is there Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Remastered Multiplayer?
As of writing, there is no kind of Modern Warfare 2 Remastered multiplayer on offer. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Remastered is set to release as a campaign-only game on March 31, 2020. There will be no multiplayer modes in the remaster alongside the campaign mode. This is true of the game’s initial launch, at least.

Thanks to our news post on the leaks and release date, we know that Modern Warfare 2 Remastered should be releasing tomorrow. Strangely, the game looks to only feature the campaign mode. Based on our report, too, it looks like Modern Warfare 2 Remastered multiplayer modes will be on the way. Supposedly included with the campaign is the following (based on a machine translation of a leaked German trailer:
- 2 Battle Pass
- 2 Weapon Blueprints
- Animated Business Card
- Emblem
- Executor
- Prick
- UDT ghost skin
- Weapon Talisman
Unfortunately, we cannot say when multiplayer will make its way into MW2 Remastered. It seems, at least, like multiplayer will come to the remastered game at some point. For now, it looks like Modern Warfare 2 Remastered is campaign-only. Hopefully, though, its multiplayer modes will make their way into the game sooner, rather than later. Fingers crossed, too, that if and when multiplayer comes to the game, it will be in a free update, not a paid extra. We hope we’re playing on remastered versions of Terminal, Rust, and Favela soon, anyway.
