Rust Console Versions | What is the Rust PS4 and Xbox One release date?

Survival game Rust has already enjoyed a lot of success on PC, what with a whopping 300,000+ Steam reviews currently securing Facepunch Studios’ title a lauded “Very Positive” rating. Of course, console players hate to miss out on a craze and are clamoring to learn the Rust PS4 release date in addition to the Rust Xbox One release date as a result. On that front, we’re here to help!

Here’s everything you need to know about when the Rust console versions are scheduled to release.

What is the Rust PS4 release date?

Courtesy of a console trailer released late in 2019, we know for sure that Rust is heading to PS4 in 2020. Excluding any unforeseen delays, that is.

No details of a more exact release window had emerged since, though Rust creator Garry Newman (@garrynewman) recently took to Twitter to answer a fan’s question and in the process narrowed down the potential Rust PS4 release date. When asked for an “update on Rust coming to console,” and specifically “what quarter of the year” we can expect to see it, Newman replied: “I can tell you it won’t be the first half of the year.”

Although that still leaves a lot of room, we at least now know that the Rust PS4 release date should fall somewhere between June and December 2020.

What is the Rust Xbox One release date?

Rust was revealed for Xbox One during Microsoft’s X019 fan event. Much like the PS4 version, we don’t know a specific Rust Xbox One release date besides the June – December 2020 window that was confirmed by creator Garry Newman on Twitter.

Since Microsoft offers the Xbox Game Preview program, which is equivalent to Steam Early Access, it’s possible that a pre-release version of Rust could hit Xbox One earlier than that. This is speculation, however, as Rust has not been confirmed for Xbox Game Preview.
