Dead Cells Bad Seed DLC | Release date and price

Dead Cells speaks to gamers who enjoy retro-styled visuals and a tough challenge. Happily, the developers at Motion Twin have also kept the fun (and blood) flowing by releasing several free updates to the game. However, the latest update is the first of the game’s paid DLC packs. The upcoming Dead Cells DLC is called The Bad Seed, and the Bad Seed DLC release date has just been formally revealed.

What kind of content can you expect for five bucks? The Bad Seed DLC will include two extra levels, several new enemies, one new boss, and “new mechanics.” We’re not totally sure what the new mechanics imply, but the additional levels will be presented as new branching paths near the start of the game’s overarching map route. They’re known as The Arboretum and The Swamp, while new location The Heart of the Swamp will be the boss lair.

As for why the Bad Seed DLC costs money, the developers have stated that the paid DLC pack is meant to help continue the game’s ongoing development. Of course, it comes after over a year of free updates to the core game, which is certainly no small feat. At the very least, dedicated Dead Cells players will be happy to get their hands on new weapons.

There’s not much of a wait left. The Dead Cells Bad Seed DLC will release on February 11, 2020, for PC, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One.
